Here's what I estimated I had left to do in the build circa August of 2012. Hindsight being 2020 and knowing this build took 4 more years, makes this list is funny but alas....
Install and aim HID headlights (HID projector headlights are built, wiring is complete, and popup assemblies are installed; I just have to install and aim).
Remove speedhut fuel pressure sensor and gauge to send back to Speedhut for repairs (I've completed the initial support diagnostics).
Run new RCA line from the headunit location to the rear amp location (I cut accidentally cut through the one I already had installed during the carpet installation)
Install door handles
Finalize install of center console
Install new mint ebrake handle
Install redline goods shifter and ebrake boot
POR15 seat rail sliders and glove compartment catch
Finalize seat-belt install and install seat belt buckles.
Diagnose why my windhield wiper motor isn't actuating (electrical)
Forever Black my windhield wiper cowl
Either figure out how to get the springs reinstalled in my powdercoated wipers or buy new ones :(
Work out insurance for a month or so
Drive the car for a few weeks and street tune :yay:
Remove door beltline mouldings and above door mouldings so my painter can cut in that area properly.
Remove sunroof moulding
Remove rear lights
Remove rear bumper
Return car to painter to get the paint redone
Reassemble the parts I took off before paint
Have exhaust welded to fit my car
Tune on a load bearing dyno
Profit?
Drive
I also refurbished my door handles!
#1 Powdercoated the handle's bezel with 20% gloss black (65Imp)
#2 Painstakingly powdercoated the pitted aluminum handles (cast) that originally came from www.rx7doorhandles.com/ (also 65Imp)
#3 Rekeyed the passenger side lock cylinder (not sure why it didn't work with my key)
#4 Purchased and installed new lock cylinder retention rings
#5 Installed new weatherstrips from mcmastercarr
#6 Forever blacked the little grommets that fit in front of the lock cylinders
