I decided to take a break from the radiator fan last night. Unfortunately, tonight didn't go much better.
- Shattered the waterpump pulley when trying to remove the fan clutch
- Removed the crossover EGR Tube. This also required removing a plastic EGR tube from the passenger side and a vacuum tube that routes to the top passenger side of the engine.
- Disconnected to plugs to the waterpump + thermostat housing + removed the final smallish hose via quick disconnect
- Removed entire waterpump with fan clutch still attached. Note the screws / boss lengths as they are drastically different for 2 fasteners. Re-installation should definitely be done before the crank pulley is re-installed.
- Moved condenser + PS cooling loop to the passenger side and tied it out of the way.
- Removed front radiator fan
- Removed AC and main serpentine belt. Belt tensioners were left unlocked
- Removed the front cross brace. This only has 2 top screws installed and the rest is bolted to the main two frame tubes (6 more nuts that screw onto studs)
- Put hood in service position
