The Room + Goals - 11/25/2015

This whole theater started with a thread on avforum where I posted the pictures shown below + the following goals and asking for advice on the best use of space.

Goals:

  • I want to learn. This isn't a build where I'll only listen to people telling me what I want to hear. I do have a budget and I will have to make compromises but I don't mind people picking apart my whole plan to help me make better use of my money.
  • 16:9 Projector based using a false front wall and AT screen with viewing purposes tending towards 80% watching movies and 20% watching TV/Sports.
  • Two seating rows - 6-7 Seats with a raised rear row.
  • 7.1 Surround Sound
  • Simple IR Dimmed Lights
  • In Closet AV Rack
  • Acoustically Treated
  • Minimal Construction
  • $10k budget
