This one was a blast to do!
I started out with a big block Jasper I picked up from a goodwill auction I won.
It ended up being a bigger steal that I could have possibly imagined because when it came in I realized that only one of the factory controls had even been used! The other still had its factory twist tie on the cord. On top of that, when I started breaking down the console to mod, I found zero dust inside. Literally the cleanest 2nd hand console I've ever had my hands on. I would guess it only had a few hours on it.
Anyway. Lets get to it! I started with a breakdown and clean that turned out to be entirely unnecessary!
With the console sufficiently broken down to the motherboard, I started focusing on the RGH3 mod. The rough process involves:
Here are some pictures of the RGH jumpers installed + my successful boot to Xell Reloaded which verified that RGH3 is working. The rest of the process was software and wasn't as glamorous so I opted not to cover it here :)
