Transmission Tunnel Trouble - 03/16/2022

While routing the engine harness down to the O2 sensors I noted that my driveshaft's center carrier bearing looked wrecked. Nothing to do except pull the driveshaft for a replacement.
I also discovered that my MOOG tie rod ends both had ripped boots. These were installed on the 3rd quarter of 2019 and probably had 100 miles on them when I developed timing problems. Ever since then, the car has been parked, so why the boots tore is beyond me. Whatever the case, it's back to OE for their replacement (Delphi)

  • Wired engine harness to passenger control box
  • Installed PS reservoir
  • Routed engine harness to exhaust O2 sensors
  • Test fit shifter (more on this later)
  • Removed driveshaft for CCB replacement.
