Pulling the Engine + Trans - 08/19/2021

The Big Night!

  • Removed AC compressor (3 long 13mm bolts) and zip tied to passenger side of the engine bay
  • Disconnected fuel lines
  • Disconnected EVAP hose from solenoid (front drivers side of engine bay)
  • Removed oil pan dip stick
  • Supported engine with hoist and leveler. Elevated over front motor mounts
  • Removed passenger side motor mount
  • Supported transmission
  • Removed transmission mount and separated driveshaft
  • Removed transmission support
  • Pulled engine while carefully watching / removing the driver’s side exhaust manifold, the passenger side engine mount, and the slave cylinder.
